Happy New Year!! 50th Birthday Party

Hello All & Happy New Year!!  I took a short bloggers sabbatical but I'm back. Is that allowed??  Anyway I wanted to share the 50th Birthday Party I catered last Saturday for a lovely couple in Staten Island NYC. The flowers where designed by the gorgeous Liz Agbor-tabi/Event Planner and color scheme was a collaboration of the existing space decor and what was in my prop inventory.  We went with champagne, willow,gold and silver creating a tasteful but "blow your mind" response. THE MENU
Susannah’s 50th Birthday Party
7:00-11:00pm
  January 7, 2012

 Spicy Jerk Chicken, Gruyere Cheese, Mango, Green Bean, Pepper wrapped with colorful lavosh rounds, tied with chive ribbon served with balsamic pumpkin dipping sauce

ASSORTED BBQ GRILLED SLIDER STATION
Salmon: Marinate in sesame, honey-teriyaki top with tomatillo, nectarine salsa on Brioche
(Gold Square Skewer: Black Olive, Mango &Red Pepper Square)
Chicken: Marinate in olive oil, basil, honey and balsamic top with sautéed apricot, grainy mustard, basil, asiago cheese & arugula
(Silver Star Skewer: Green Olive, Sundried Tomato &Apricot
Ground Beef: grilled with Worcestershire, garlic, scallion topped with
Sautéed mushrooms, artichoke parmesan and Gouda/& Just Cheddar 
(Gold Star skewer: Gherkin pickle, Red Tomato &Orange Pepper)

Served with grapes, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries assorted breads and crackers
